Pokémon Friends Review
Pokémon Friends: The Coziest Puzzle Party on Switch 2
If you’re looking for a Pokémon game that swaps battles for blanket vibes, then Pokémon Friends on the Nintendo Switch 2 might just become your new favorite. This isn’t your typical Pokémon adventure. No gym leaders, no frantic battles, no endless grinding. Instead, Pokémon Friends invites players into a warm, relaxing world filled with adorable Pokémon stuffies, cozy puzzles, and feel-good music.
And here’s the best part: it works on both mobile and Switch, but the full Nintendo Switch 2 version is hands-down the way to play. More puzzles, more stuffies, more cozy brain power time.

What Makes Pokémon Friends Different
Unlike traditional Pokémon games, Pokémon Friends is all about puzzles, creativity, and relaxation. It’s designed to be cozy and fun, which makes it perfect for younger kids, casual gamers, and even parents who just want to build brain health with a stress-free game after a long day.
- Charming Puzzle Gameplay: Each level is a bite-sized puzzle that balances challenge with accessibility. Kids love solving them, and adults might secretly sneak in a few rounds after bedtime.
- Adorable Pokémon Stuffies: One of my favorite parts is using the yarn you untangle from each puzzle to create new Pokémon stuffies! The mystery of which one will pop out keeps you playing puzzle after puzzle. Snorlax as a giant squishy? Instant favorite.
- Cozy Atmosphere: The colors are soft, the animations are delightful, and the whole experience feels like a digital weighted blanket.
- On-Point Music: The soundtrack is relaxing, catchy, and just the right backdrop for family-friendly fun.

Why Families Will Love Pokémon Friends
Parents will appreciate that Pokémon Friends is wholesome, brain-healthy, and screen time you don’t have to feel guilty about. It encourages problem-solving, patience, and creativity without stressful play.
Kids, on the other hand, love the cuteness factor. Here’s what our 13 year old son has to say:
“It’s like a cuddly Pokémon puzzler collector game. Can we get a real-life Snorlax now?”
Pokémon Friends on Nintendo Switch 2 vs. Mobile
Yes, Pokémon Friends is also available on mobile, but the Nintendo Switch 2 version is clearly the best. The bigger screen makes the puzzles easier to enjoy, the sound quality brings the music to life, and you don’t run the risk of dropping your phone on your face during late-night play… Or maybe that’s just me.
If you want the full cozy experience, the Nintendo Switch 2 edition is the way to go.

Final Verdict: Is Pokémon Friends Worth It?
Absolutely. Pokémon Friends on Nintendo Switch 2 is a charming, creative spin on the franchise that proves not every Pokémon game has to be about battles. With its mix of puzzles, plush-style characters, and cozy soundtrack, it’s the perfect family-friendly game for kids, parents, and anyone who just wants a stress-free gaming experience.
Family Rating: 5 out of 5 Pokémon Stuffies
